Hi, I recently bought a Yamaha 471 and have it all set up. However when I first turn my TV (FreeView) and Receiver on the sound doesn't come through the Receiver. I have to turn HDMI Control off and then back on again before it will work and show the ARC settings.
I do mostly use FreeSat with Sky, but I also frequently use Freeview on my TV.
Can anyone shed any light on it? Is it definitely not a fault with the receiver?
My set-up is as follows:
Panasonic Viera (37G20), HDMI2 (ARC) on TV > HDMI out Receiver
Sky HD HDMI > HDMI1 receiver + optical cable > receiver
DVD player SCART > TV + digital coax > receiver
PC HDMI > receiver + SPDIF > receiver (Bluray plays through PC)
