Well, it's getting extremely close to me laying out the cash on an AV receiver. I've found the RX-V450 on Superfi for £130, any opinions? It looks to be a hell of alot of bang for your buck.

On paper the RX-V450 does sounds impressive and because of that I bought one in January. However everything is not as impressive as on paper. Yes it will work nicely in a small room with efficient speakers in movie mode, but in stereo(music) mode its a dog.

It is claimed to deliver 85w RMS into all channels, but it is more like 45-50w RMS.

On the other hand in that price range I can't think of anything better either!

Bottom line, if you plan to use it in a small room, mostly in HT mode and pair it with speakers such as Kefs, it will do the trick.

It will be used in a small room, and paired with a Canton CD1 set. It'll pretty much only be used for 5.1 cinema, I have a seperate amp + speakers for music.

    Thanks for the help. :smashin:

I am also tempted by the Superfi offer ... I have 5 x Anthony Gallo Micros ... is this amp a good match ?

    Any other recommendations ?

    Thanks
