I am going to purchase either the Denon 3802 or Yamaha rx-v2200 and have one major concern. I know the Denon decodes the dts-es 6.1 discrete format but does the Yamaha? They both have dts-es on the faceplates but only Denon mentions the dts-es 6.1 discrete in their literature. I like the sound of the Yamaha better but I really want the seperate rear channel on 6.1 discrete DVDs. What does the Yamaha do with the rear effects on 6.1 discrete, are the effects matrixed rather than discrete? Thanks for any help.

    Yes. The RXV-2200 decodes DTS-ES Discrete 6.1.
