Hi all

I've just hooked up my Yamaha rx a3040 receiver and for some reason it's not picking up an of the hdmi inputs. All it shows on the display is hdmi out.

Can anyone shed any light on the issue, please?

Thanks

Duncan

Okay so after some tinkering around the receiver likes my bog standard HDMI's from Sky but doesn't recognise my AQ Vodka or another unbranded HDMI....... why would this be?
Right now I'm scratching my head!

It may not be the cables, what are you connecting to the Yamaha ? Specify if you have any HDCP2.2 sources

Hi there

Thanks for your response.

The two items that weren't working were my pioneer lx 54 bluray and PS4.

One other then I noticed was when I put in a Dts hd master 7.1 encode the receiver doesn't pick up the 2 rear surrounds?

Thanks Duncan

Hi all

Any ideas on my dilemma would be appreciated especially why it's not picking up the two rear surround channels very odd.

Thanks all and have a great evening.

Okay so I've sorted the 7.1 issue I just had to calibrate the system to engage the rear speakers.

In regards to the video with the audioquest cable I'm still none the wiser I just don't get it.

It worked fine between my lx 54 and Onkyo 876 amp.

Cheers
