Yamaha RX-A2020 to LG C1 issue

Hi all,

So I’ve been running a Yamaha RX-A2020 AV Receiver (https://europe.yamaha.com/en/products/audio_visual/av_receivers_amps/rx-a2020/downloads.html) for some years now.

I’ve recently upgrade my tv to a 65” LG C1 ( https://www.lg.com/au/tvs/lg-oled65c1ptb# ) and now there is no sound or image from the HDMI ARC output on the Yamaha.

The tv picks up that there is something there, though, in the set up tests.

FYI, I have a PS5 going to the Yamaha AVR that I pretty much use for everything.

Do I need to upgrade my receiver or am I just missing something?

I am guessing you have the HDMI in eARC on the LG tv. See if you have eARC enabled in the LG menu since the Yamaha doesn't support eARC you need to disable it. Also sometimes HDMI Deep Color messes up when changing receivers turn that off and turn it on
after. Also Yamaha video should be direct .

Yes, deep colour is a bit of a pain with my 3070 too, even with my older Samsung Q9, every time I use my Zidoo Z10pro I have to got into TV setting an enable deep colour for that input as it seems to always turn off.
