I've plugged a couple of mono cables into the remote in and out jacks of an RX-V2067 and a BD-A1010 (both Yamaha) and have tried both remote settings in the SCENE setup, but the SCENE function is not turning the blu-ray player on as described in the manuals. Has anyone any tips?

Has anyone managed to use the facility? I can find nothing on the net about it.

Have you turned HDMI-CEC on in the HDMI Control section of the receiver's settings? I have an RX-V765 so it may be different on the 2067.

Yes - this is turned on, although as the remote jacks are not linked to the HDMI side of things, is this needed? I tried the blu-ray player's HDMI control feature, but the player would be turned on automatically with the receiver for all functions (radio, tv, turntable, etc.), not just the player input, hence the reason for wanting to use the remote jacks with the Scene function.
