Yamaha Receiver RXSL80

    Anyone else have this? I can't work out the difference between DD 5.1 Standard, and DD 5.1 enchanced. I'd assume enchanched should sound better, but does it need a different source or something?

    Standard basically plays the 5.1 soundtrack directly without applying any additional processing, while enhanced uses the Cinema Digital Sound field Processing (DSP) to try to make it sound like you are listening to it in a cinema (similar to the Movie Theatre modes for stereo sources). Personally I'm not a big fan of DSP so I stick to "Straight" or "Prologic standard" for stereo sources and the standard 5.1 modes.
