Widescreen Review just did a review of the Yamaha LPX-510, they've stated that its the best LCD projector they have ever reviewed! Quite a complement.

They also went on to say that the projector required no calibration and was grayscale perfect out of the box!

Looks like Yamaha has a winner on its hands, mind you its pricey so thats likely to be a problem when you can buy DLP at the same price.

The LPX-510 is apparently a clone of the Epson TW500, which is receiving rave reviews on the US AVS forum. It is supposed to be the "king of LCD" and challenges many DLPs, even for calibrated contrast.

If the price was slightly lower then I think they could have a winner on their hands, especially for those that have problems with rainbows etc.
Epson just don't appear to be pushing this from a marketing/ dealer perspective...maybe not enough margin in it!
