I have my Yamaha HTR-5930 Receiver connected in a couple of different ways:
My Samsung LCD runs cable television sound into the receiver via an optical cable.
My Xbox 360 runs into the receiver via component cables.
My Nintendo Wii runs into the receiver via component cables as well.
The signal is sent out from the receiver to 2 speakers that sit next to the TV. The receiver is set to 2-channel stereo. The video goes out from the receiver to the component input on the TV.
No matter what I run, whether it be games, movies or cable TV, there is a slight audio delay, meaning the lips are moving just slightly out of sync with the sound.
It's enough to drive me mad even though my wife doesn't notice it.
I can't seem to find any documentation online as to whether there is a audio delay feature on this receiver....any ideas on other ways to fix this?
