Hi :hiya: :)

At the moment I have a yamaha htr 3063 with 5 speakers.

I'm looking for a Sub that will be compatible with my amp, and afterwards looking to substitute the standard speakers that were in the box with something higher spec.

Lastly, I need a remote replacement or a universal/harmony product.

Thanks for your help!!

Any standard subwoofer will be compatible and will connect from the AV Receiver's subwoofer pre-out connection to one of the inputs on the sub using an RCA coax subwoofer cable. Obviously the AV Receiver is a budget model so I would not spend too much on a subwoofer and speakers. I'm guessing you're in the states? It's hard to suggest what to buy over here as we don't know what is available for the $. As for remotes, I don't really know what is available but have been a (reasonably) happy Logitech Harmony One user for a number of years. I had to replace it as Logitech don't repair them. I got a discount but I wasn't very happy at having to buy a new model as they should be able to repair them. There doesn't appear to be many alternatives these days either so I would suggest taking a look at their range and trying them out. I am not a fan of the buttons on the cheaper models, they are a bit clunky but the functionality is more or less the same.
