    All,

    I am trying to make a decision regarding three Yamaha amps, the RX-V2400 (£600), RX-V1600 (£695), 757 (£395).

The HDMI switching on the 1600 would be a bonus, but not necessarily a strict requirement (my 436XDE has 2 HDMI inputs). My main requirement is for audio delay, and I believe all three have it. I have also heard that the auto-setup on the 757 is a bit hit-and-miss, whereas the higher specced Yammys have it sorted. I realise that the 2400 is an older model (hence the price), but is there any benefit in going for the 1600 instead?

I will be pairing the amp up with either B&W M1s, SVS SB-01 or Quad L-ites.

Has anyone got any experience with these/advice you'd be able to offer?

    Many thanks, P.

    Thanks SkinnyFat,

I'm not interested in scaling (I have a scaling DVD player), and as mentioned before, an extra HDMI connection isn't necessary. The RX-V2500 sounds like the one to go for.... but where can I get it for £450??? SevenOaks are offering it for £545.... I guess that if I buy the speaker package at the same time, I might get near the £450 mark.

    P.
