Is there any difference between these two?

OK, the SL100 is slightly more expensive (£20 or £30), but is it correspondingly better. The 550 has a 108 MHz video converter, the 100 is 54. The 100 weighs a kilogramme more! How is that possible in such a small player?

Has anyone compared the two side by side? Should I just go with the cheaper one, which seems to be the only one that has the titanium finish I want, anyway..

Just 'won' the 550 on eBay - I'll see how it goes.. If it's not great, I can't lose too much on the deal.

550 is good. Seems noticeably better than the Tosh 330, and cost me less than I paid for that :) Colours are a bit vivid, but I haven't run a calibration disc on it yet. Strangely, audio might be a bit better, too, even though I'm purely through the digital coax (ah, the mental effect of getting some new kit!).

All in all, I'm pretty happy, and even the 'silver' finish isn't a bad match for the 'titanium' amp - as long as I keep them on opposite sides of the Oppli.

MR hack from the handset seems to work for RCE discs, too.
