Yamaha DSPAX750: I am using component output to my plasma, and a variety of inputs. I have 'component OSD' set to ON. I can get OSD to appear for composite and S-video inputs (converted in the amp to component and viewed on the component output), but any component input does not show OSD, and I have to rely on the amp front panel display.
Can't find anything in the UM on this. Have I missed a setting, or is this the way it's meant to be?

    TIA

Tbh, if you have a component lead going from the ‘out’ on the amp to the ‘in’ on the plasma it should work.

That is how I had it setup when I wanted to view the OSD on my plasma.

Make sure that settings have Component on and also OSD on. It won't show on screen if using Progressive scan also.

    Hope this helps

Ah, it would seem that Progressive is what's screwing it! Thanks. Is that in the maual, or did you disciver this for yourself?
