Yamaha DSPA5

    I have a Wharfdale 750s dvd coupled to a yamaha DSP A5 av amplifier.I have just discovered that i can play mp3 downloads on my player.The problem is that i can only get the sound through my tv speakers,it does not play through my amp and seperate speakers.If i put a cd or dvdr in it plays ok.any ideas why i can't get any sound.

    Just a quick guess, but have you only got the digital connection from you DVD player going to your amp?

    Maybe you need to run a stereo pair from the dvd player or from the two phono outputs on the back of your tv (if you have them).

    I'm guessing that the mp3 output is seen as stereo, and is being routed to your tv via the scart socket.

    Let us know if I'm even close won't you? :)
