I've just invested in a new home cinema setup, Pioneer PDP-506xde, Denon 1920 and Yamaha DSP-AX757SE, I've bought 2 more Bose cubes to add to the 5.1 setup I've already got, obviously to use 7.1 that the amp offers. Now that I've gone to hook everything up I found a problem, with Bose everything goes through the Sub, which I'd forgotten about, but as my setup is about 5 years old there is only inputs for 5 speakers on the sub, to do it properly I'd imagine it would be better if there were 7 inputs, So shall I leave it as it is set up now for 5.1 into the sub and put the 2 new rears direct from the amp, or will this cause an imbalance in the sound. Bloody Bose, why do they have to make it so complicated.
    Thanks,
    Vipers

    Hello.. :hiya:

If I recall the Bose speakers need to be connected to the Sub in order to function correctly.

I used to have the old Acoustimass Cubes and remember reading that it was advisable not to connect directly to the Amp... so I am guessing the same holds true here.

    Hope this helps,
