Yamaha DSP AX-620

    I've got the Yamaha DSP AX-620 Amp and it's superb doing DD 5.1, however I've tried DVDs using the DTS sound (like Gladiator) and I can't hear anything. The DVD player is setup to output DTS and the Amp is set to decode it but I get no sound.

    Any suggestions?

    Make sure the dvd is set to output Bitstream and then doublecheck you are selecting the DTS track on the actual dvd disc (Audio/Language selection). The amp should be set to AUTO.

    Ha ah, I didn't know about the audio selection in the DVD bit (don't laugh). I shall do that.

    That would make sense actually cos I suppose it wouldn't know what sound to play.

    No worries, it happens more often than you´d think.
