    I just purchased a Yamaha cdr-hd1300 HD / CD , stand alone component....

    it has a 120gb drive, and stores CD in wav format , u simply transfer from cd drive to HD........

    sounds great ?

    well almost, apart from this TERRIBLE DESIGN ERROR;

    there is NO WAY to directly access your CDs !!!

    if you want to play CD number, lets say, 93, you need to press the + button, on the remote, 93 times to get there !!!!

    there is no way to enter the cd number you want to play back, just forward and back cd skip !!!

    and even then, if you hold-down the buttons on the remote, they only register as 1 key press, no matter how long u hold them down

    is this the worlds most stupidest hi fi design error ?

    they designed a JUKE BOX that you cant access directly the disc u want !

    unbelievable !

    I phones Yamaha to check, and its true, there is no such function......

    doh ! :lesson:

    anyone else have this unit ?
