Sold mine for £250, which is a steal at that price. Top class piece of kit, even now:D

You can now get the 3090 upgraded to 5.1. The amp is excellent for DD but not too hot for music. Dont worry about DTS AOTC is DD only.:D

The 3090 was the first 5.1 amp available in this country and dosen't need upgrading. It was way ahead of it's time but has now been superceeded by other makes. Denon, Marantz and in particular Pioneer have caught up and overtaken Yamaha in the receiver stakes now. You can now get a whole lot of amp for a lot less bucks.

It's expensive for what it is. I think it's nearly £300! When you think that you can pick up the Pioneer 811 from places for as little as £315 and it's EX, ES matrix and Discrete and DPL II, it makes you wonder wether it's actually worth it. Then there's the cost of the dts decoder on top of that.....however, I know someone who's selling one for about £40....eh sc1977;)

Sorry I was thinking of my previous amp the Yammy 2070 which needs the 5.1 upgrade. I then went onto the 3090 and to what I have now.

The 3090 is difficult to beat...even today.

Put any £1000 amp next to it now for 5.1 DD....and the yammy will imho either equal or beat it.
