I'm looking at getting a new DVD player and am considering the Yam 520. I know most of you would recommend Tosh and other brands but these are not readily available in this part of the world. Do any of you have experience of the Yamaha 520 and would you recommend it? I've seen some reviews on US sites where ther are complaints about the picture freezing for about 1/4 second. Is this peculiar to US models or has the problem been rectified with newer software. BTW the Yam is effectively a Philips player.

I've got the 520 and, as far as I'm concerned, it's a perfectly good player. The only problem is that there can be quite a delay on layer changes.
