Yamada DVD-5520 multiregion hack

    This machine should be multiregion out of the box, but if not, try updating the firmware from the Yamada site.

    # Extract the file to your hard drive and burn the 11121213.BIN to the root directory of a CD. Use Standard ISO9660 Format and finalize the CD. Don't use Joliet, multi-session or XA Format!
    # The CD title must be P80J0001. Don't copy both firmware versions on one CD. You have to use separate CDs.
    # Insert the ready CD into the DVD-Player and press Play when prompted.
    # When the CD drive opens take out the CD and wait about 1-2 minutes.
    # The DVD player will be reset automatically and should be multiregion.
