    Guys,
I have a Yamaha RX-V650, ms 309 sub, ms 904 floorstanders, and avant prem plus satellites,

My question is in the Amp setup I can select LF to sub only or sub and fronts, which is better and should I stick with 80HZ as a crossover?

I am a little puzzled as why I would want to use the fronts for anything under 80hz when the sub can do all that, can it cause problems if my amp is feeding the fronts with too low HZ ??

    Cheers
    Oliver

I'd try both and see what you prefer. For films, a straight 80hz crossover may end up being the best bet. For stereo, I'd switch the 309 off and send the works to the 904's. If you can tailor each input, I'd recommend doing so.
