    Hello,

I'm after some help. I've had one of these systems for quite while, but I've only just noticed a problem with it.

When I play a DVD in Dolby 5.1, the amp plays it in Analogue (PCM?) instead of Dolby. It's set to automatically select a mode. It's also the same when I manually select it.

I' playing the DVD through a PS2 with an optical cable.

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Tom.

there's probably an option on the PS2 to output digital signal in either DD or PCM (my DVDplayer has such an option...)

It has an option of using Optical output, which is enabled.

Ah yes but optical will just output a digital signal, and PCM and DD are two choices of digital signal... is there a further option that allows you to choose between these two?

There's only one option, Digital output on/off.
