Y-cam Evo Wi-Fi Cloud Camera Review

To update this, Y-Cam now no longer offer free 7 day cloud storage if you have had the camera more than 1 year.

After 1 year it will cost either £2.99 per month/£32.89 per year. That's per camera.

They are also offering 30 day cloud storage at 50% off for a year at £4.99 per month/£49.99 per year, this will then double in cost after 1 year. This is for any number of cameras.

Shame as it was one of their key selling points.

I was lucky enough to get it before they lowered the free 7 day cloud storage from 3 years to 1 year. Weighed up the costs with other systems. Works well but could do with a few other features like timed recording sessions.

i set something similar up with one of these

Samsung Smart Home Full HD 1080p Indoor Pet/Baby Monitor with Two-Way Audio - Laptops Direct

this piece of software ( contacam )
Contaware.com - Video Surveillance and Graphics Software

and BT cloud but i imagine any cloud service would do the same
i get BT cloud for free with fibre broadband so decided to put it to use
you do have to have a PC running 24/7 ( which i do ) to capture the footage

Total cost £34 for the camera

it's not the best camera in the world but it is 1080p with a half decent image quality, streaming can be a little Laggy at times but overall it is acceptable
