xXx - which region?

    Cd-Wow have xXx r3 for £12.99...just wondered if anyone knows if this will be similar standard to the r1 disc?

    Some r3 discs don't seem to have the picture encoded at a high rate and if you pause them it tends to be "jittery"...

    i had the region 1 of Black Hawk Down

    and then sold it

    and then got a copy of it on region 3 and i can't not tell the difference with the picture quality, i am getting the region 3

    The R3 version might be lower bitrate because it's also got a Thai 5.1 sound track as well as english.

    not necessarily:
    the R1 may leave a Gb of free space that the R3 will use for the additional 5.1. Usually DVDspace is not all used so there is always space for another 5.1 without changing picture bitrate.
    That's what happens with a lot of R2s.
