I've only had my XS32 for about 3 weeks so have some stuff to leard yet, and with tha manual so hard going I thought it would be easier to ask here as everyone seems so knowledgeable.

I have played a DVD while recording to the HDD at the same time, but can you do the following at the same time:

    1) Play from HDD and Record to HDD

    2) Dub to DVD-R(W) while Playing or Recording to HDD

    3) Perform edits on HDD items while Recording to HDD

    Thanks

Just got the chance to try 1 and 2.

In reference to 2, I dubbed to DVD-RW while recording to HDD and it worked fine. Must say I haven't watched back the recording yet though :)

Will try editing and recording tomorrow.

Only tried high-speed dub to RW - haven't had chance to try normal dub yet, but will post results when I try.

    The almost definitive answere

    1) Yes
    2) Yes, (except I think for rate conversion dubbing)
    3) Yes, (although you cant actually delete anything.. or edit what you are currently recording, but you can insert chapter devides and set up play lists etc).

    have fun
    steve
