XR520VE - x.v. colour

Since I've had the camcorder I've always recorded with the x.v. colour option enabled.

My understanding is that x.v. colour is just Sony's renaming of xvycc colour!?

Whenever I playback my videos through my TV with xvycc enabled the colours on my videos go really bland...its makes it quite a horribe viewing. As soon as I turn xvycc off the colours look a lot brighter and more vivid.

Surely it should be the other way round?!
