Hello this is my first post here.

    My question is -

I have seen some speakers I want to purchase but they have XLR terminals. My speaker cable is bi-wirable Nordost Blue Heaven, does anyone know of any connectors/convertors available so I can keep my cable and use it with XLR terminals?

    Thanks

    Tom

It would be best to solder some XLR's directly onto the end of your cables I would have thought.

XLR is a very unusual connector to use for speaker level connections on domestic kit. What are the speakers just out of interest?

They are lS3/5a. I dont really want to solder anything onto the end of my Blue Heavens as they werent cheap. I just wasnt sure if there is a connector to plug the 4 bi-wirable ends into the xlr socket on each speaker.

Are they the old BBC monitor speakers?

What about a 4" length of cable with an XLR on one end and bare wires on the other? You could then use some connector blocks or a junction box to join the cables.

The other thing to consider is the possibility of replacing the XLR sockets on your speakers with binding posts?

Yeah that could be worth considering - xlr connector with bare wires. I will give it some thought. Yes they are the BBC monitors.
