Just got hold of a pair of bargain MRs, but the pins are missing from the XLR inputs so Im loosing about 10db in gain. I will change over to XLR cables eventually but Id just like to get em running properly on single ended inputs to start with.Dont suppose anyone has got some spairs kicking around? :D

When I got my 250x3R the pins were missing so I used paper clips for a few days until my dealer got the pins to me. They worked well.

Switching to the pins gave a more liquid sound, the quiet passages were inky black........ :D

Used heavy gauge cooker power cable last night, but couldnt get it to work. Have ordered some RCA to XLRs from Mark Grant, so hope to get em soon.

    Careful............

Only use the correct diameter of shorting link otherwise you stand the risk of opening out the socket and an XLR pin won't grow to suit.......The correct diameter pin is 3/32" if anyone is interested.

Hope they are wired as per TAG's drawing on the subject, the connection of the screen at the right end is also a factor.....
