also my local GAME said that the demand for the 360 was nowhere near as much as for the psp, which i couldnt believe!

Unless you know something myself and the rest of us don't, this is not true. The 360 will not be able to record TV shows. What may be confusing is that it can be used to watch TV shows you've recorded on a Media Centre PC.

I spose it would need a video input source to be able to record off anything, dont recall seeing anything like that. They did trumpet on about 360 connectivity, most notoriously by showing an ipod and psp connected via usb. I reckon this'll be only for music playback, i doubt it'll play back movies off the psp (why would you want to tbh)

I saw it mentioned in a magazine afew weeks ago that the 360 would be able to record from the TV onto the hard drive but didnt think much of it as they have gotten facts wrong in the past.

Well I think you just answered your own question there, your local Game manager isn't the most reliable of sources. What he will of been confused with is the fact that you can stream TV shows from your media center PC that you have previousley recorded using a TV capture card.

I've seen this in a video (the 360 / media centre one), i think they mean that you can instruct a media centre PC to record the show, then watch the show from the 360.
I can't remember exactly though :( anybody saved the video?
