I have the 37 inch version of the TV with a 360 elite connected via HDMI.

The tv plays games really well. I have it set to 720p and graphically it's excellent with NO blurring from what I can see. I ran my TV in for 200 hours on low contrast and brightness settings, just turning it up for gmaing sessions.

I would suggest avoiding long sessions during run in time. From time to time during play I put some snow on the screen to aid getting rid of any screen retention that may be happening.

I have had little screen retention (caused by compass on COD 3) and that I have had clears after 30 secs of snow played through TV. I happily now play a hour or so a night of GOW, COD 4 etc.... with no probs.

Hope this helps any other questions just ask....

OK, to you and the OP:

I used one of these (Pana PX) with an XBOX360 for about 3 months. Apart from the "green smearing" in certain sections of GoW and The Darkness, it was a fine set for gaming.

I found the VGA connection "washed out", so stuck with component. Can't comment on HDMI as my XBOX360 doesn't have it.

I pretty much switched off all the TV's processing options for the picture, and dropped the brightness a bit to make sure no issues with retention/burn (and I never did have any issues, even after multi-hour sessions.)

Not sure if I can add anymore as I didn't change mush else.

In the end, I got a Pioneer 4280. And that's a perfect plasma for gaming; costs a bit, though.

I've had my Panny for a few days now and have to say it looks incredible over component and vga you won't be disappointed:thumbsup:

Haven't noticed any green smearing myself but I read that it seems to effect some people more than others.

Agree completely - and no green phosphor trails that I've noticed either.
