Xbox through a brand new panasonic th42pe50!

What are the best settings 50 or 60 hrz.

I'm guessing 60, but it looked a bit grainy though. (maybe needs time to run in)

And then do i set it to widescreen?

As i said what are the best settings?

I'm using a scart cable if thats any help

    Cheers

Softmod your xbox so it can run 480p and use a component cable and it should look a lot better. I have the Panny PE30 and it looks fab!

This might be of interest to you mate: http://www.darkplanets.co.uk/product_info.asp?pid=836

I know it's a gamecube thing but it shouldn't make any difference, I'm about to order one so I can imput my Cube, Xbox360 & dvd player into my single Component input of my Sanyo Z1

BTW, is there still the same high risk of plasma burn with modern plasma's, I understood the risk was still high with video games!

    hhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmm!

The gamecube thing sounds good for £15

I think the j.s. box is probably better quality, and pic quality is the name of the game, but for £55 i could put another £40 and get a decent 2nd hand av amp with 2 component connections.

I wonder if anyone on the forums has used the gamecube box, think i'll post a new thread to see if its any good! :)

    Cheers all

Just beware of cheap switchers, in my experience the quality of the picture can be very bad.

Not too sure if you've posted that thread yet but fear not :) !!. I bought the exact same one from Play Asia (link here.... http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-n-77-6-15-component-70-3cb.html ) and it's just fine. I use it to swich between my PS2 / Cube and X box and find that I get no noticable loss in picture quality from either of them (hooked up to my Optoma H56A), nice little piece of kit.
