i got the demo for "The Chronicles of Riddick" over the weekend, its only small and takes about ten mins to complete, its like the bast**d son of halo and splinter cell.

I have to say its totally fantastic. the graphics are superb, the sound is amazing and the control, the control is as smooth as silk. its very hard to give it a definative review based on a one level demo, but based on what i've seen so far halo 2 might get a slap.

    anyone else played/seen it?

Yeah I am currently working my way through the full game and I am extremely impressed. I will definately be purchasing it on release so I can xbox live it.

The lighting and game atmosphere is superb, my only criticism would be the slightly over complex control system, but you soon get used to it.

DEMO? How did you get it? Do you want to pass it on? I will be happy to pass it on to others afterwards. I know it is on OXM next month, but I cannot wait - perhaps I will have to.

i work for blockies (part time) and it was sent with a trade paper. i was lucky i got it first. there are many staff that want it so i'm sorry i cant pass it on :(

All i can say is that the last time i got excited about a demo - it was splinter cell.

I have/am also playing the full version and agree it is a superb fps game, the graphics are very smooth and there are additional bits to it that are over and above just running round shooting everything that moves, excellent game

I completed this last week, I enjoyed it although it only played for about 12 hours to completion. I was surprised as I'm not a hardcore expert on these things..Now stuck on PsiOps in the reactor...

I like the fact that you have a few optional activities throughout the levels, that you can pretty much go anywhere, stealth plays a big part, and being brutal is often not the best option.

I was impressed that the whole thing was voiced by Vin Diesel, and not some other voice actor.

    Highly recommended.

I've played it a bit and I couldn't see what the fuss is about. No different to a dozen other games in the genre, IMHO. tbh I quickly got bored of it

But it looks very pretty though :D
