Yeap, limited to what we can talk about... so drip fed information.... You have to ask exactly when will we see Series X gameplay?
I was only joking because the same vid was already posted a few messages above yours.

People need to set their expectations for what these outlets will have at this stage. They won't have next gen Assassins Creed or any 3rd party next gen game. They may well not have any next gen upgraded games either - just games via BC. Its possible MS gave them upgraded Gears 5 but depends if title is stable and running and they are confident enough to send it out. But in reality - its likely they'll just have dummy stuff like a few BC games to show fast switching etc....

You have no idea what they may or may not have been sent, same as the rest of us. Would be pretty pointless sending them the hardware with nothing to see on it... would they comment on its use as a paperweight... As for quick resume, everyone's seen vids of that for about 7 months so would hardly offer anything useful and the UI is pretty much what we have now, just faster and improved. They've already implemented the store changes, but again, they've released videos on that themselves.

I fully expect they'll have on the SSD cards upgraded versions of Gears 5 and FH4 as they want these influencers to drool online about how amazing they are, especially FH4 which is what i can't wait to see at 4k60 when i get my Series X...will look better than most next gen games being released at launch.

As for other 3rd party stuff, who knows. They've got partnerships and deals with many so perfectly feasible there may be short demos of something, which if good will also be good publicity for the game too.

Yeah...hopefully that's the case. Gotta figure they're under embargo for some reason, otherwise - why bother?

As for the store, I was surprised to hear that's been rolling out over the last day or so...had a quick look last night and was pretty impressed. Seemed very quick and snappy.

The store changes came into effect a few weeks ago. They just updated it quietly and i first realised when checking out one of the sales and bought GRID. Much better and faster. Only thing i'd like which i couldn't see in the store settings would be the option to make a trailer full screen, but that's no biggie at all.

I see dimensions of the series X is 300x150x150mm, thankfully it seems it can lay on side to! I have to say it looks far better than PS5, almost stealthy!

Well, it depends on if you can handle the Xbox button being sideways orientated instead of the correct way........

I think, I will have to handle it, as it won't fit inside AV unit under TV, and vertical it will be in the way of screen me thinks but need to measure, I may even put it on shelf next to AV unit.
You would think the cover to button come off to turn it 90 degrees!

I'd hate to play FM with a controller tho, could be KB/M supported and another extra expense. Time you add on the extra storage, controllers, subscriptions etc people get, it works out a lot.

But obviously all optional, too.
SI tend to be good at making these playable on a controller. I put loads of time into the versions in OG Xbox, and Xbox 360.

I gotta say, of all the people on this site, @rowdav seems like one of the least likely to be in the frame when taking ‘ignore list’! Myself included 😂🤔

I don’t know ‘Dave’ of course, he might be an utter arse hahah, but from what i’ve read over the years on AVF, he’s seems like a good guy :)

He's a dick, every 1st of the month he sends loads of us absusives messages and furry porn. We've reported him so many times but he has pics of mods from the furry convention.

And he thinks GamesPass is terrible value.... He's a monster!

That last point does my head in. It's not that it's missing, it's that the trailer auto plays and then you can't push a button to make it full screen of you're interested in what you see. I know you can just sit and do nothing and the UI will eventually go away but would it kill them to say press in the analogue stick to make it full screen.

Be interesting to hear if they tried out Avengers what with it already being ‘Optimised for Series X’ unless that will come via a patch at a later date.
