Just testing to see how this works. The pics were on 480i out to a sim2ht200dm. My digital camera is an old crappy 3 yr old model. I'll try and borrow a higher res one for next lot.

Pics from Dead or Alive 3. There are 5 or 6 but here's one to see what it looks like.

Still frame from an end of game cut scene that you get once finishing a Story Mode level.

Gordon, What's your view on how the Xbox handles itself in a Home Cinema Setting?

    Anne,

I've not used it as a DVD player....yet. I would expect the picture quality should be pretty good. Not sure about sound.

Certainly it's picture quality on games holds up very well on a 7ft wide screen...Those little pics do really do it justice. I'd expect that when we see 1080i and 720P encoded games which are live actionish it'll be pretty scary amazing on the right playback equipment...

Will try some more pics tomorrow. Took some of Halo but wasn't to happy with them..going to go and play it for a bit now...

    Pictures look great Gordon.
Was that the game or just an intro or something from DOA3?

The first two were taken by putting the thing in "watch a game" mode. You can select different camera angles (referee, player1,2 etc) I choose the camera angle of the opponent to the girl. Then every so often in the middle of a move I would "still" capture the image by freeze framing the Sim2 projector.

Originally I'd tried sparring with an oponnent and taking pics but that was too hard. I may try different method when I get hold of the other camera. The pic of the girl throwing the guy through the wall is just like in the game itself. The same characters are in each picture I think, just costumes changed for one.

Pictures from Halo will be in game.

Gordon, is that running in widescreen mode?
If so, was the 16:9 mode run from an option in game, or was it done by yourself using the mode's on your projector?
    Best regards
    Tony

I told the Xbox I had a 16:9 TV and you are also given the option withint he game of 16:9. Then I put projector to anamorphic mode.

It'd be good to see what Retrun To Castle Wolfenstein looks like when it arrives on the XBOX, it's due soon. Medal of Honour Allied Assault is the most realistic game of the genre I've played though, on my PC with my BB600 running 640x480 it looked pretty good. The sound is the best part though, very realistic in 5.1.
