Apparently if you go HERE a little down the page theres a couple of utils that allow you to watch prog scan DVD movies either by patching the MS dashboard or patching DVD-X

    Anyone tried this?

I intend to try this out in the next couple of weeks on my Tosh 36ZD26P, once I get my hi-def kit.

Yeah, it does work. Prog scan DVD playback is very good quality on the XBox, but you'll need a decent high-def pack for it to look OK. The Gamester 3rd party one sold in Game is rubbish. The official MS one is fine, and ones made by Ixor are supposed to be good too.

You need a modded xbox of course. I patched the default.xbe file in the DVDX directory manually by changing a byte with a hex-editor after FTP-ing it to my PC,. Cool, eh? ;)
