    HI all

Just installed my new panny 42pwd7 with a quintro box. The quintro goes into a vga thingy which then connects to the TV.

My NTL Box and DVD work fine but i cannot get a picture for my Xbox.

Any ideas where the problem may lie?

    Thanks

the standard might not but what about the higher quality ms scart which had the optical out? this is not the hi-def kit one, this was released when the xbox was launched.

i have this as well. i will be running it (tonight  ) into a JS RGB to VGA converter. Do you think i'd get very much noticeably better results with the hi-def kit? and is soft-modding a hassle, i mean, does it have to be done every time you turn on your xbox?

    works every time for me.

depends what your running on your xbox.. the advanced scart always sends RGB no mods needed

what do you mean by softmod?

The Hi-Def kit will allow your Xbox to output component video out without the need of chipping etc. If you do get a chance to chip your Xbox you will then be able to put it into NTSC mode where you can enable Hi-Def video... haven't tried it on my new PWD7 yet but on my Projector it is excellent! :) You can see it instantly on the menu screen if you hold down the right trigger left trigger and push down the two thumb sticks down. The difference is amazing!

If you can get to a GAME shop they sell excellent advanced AV cables for the xbox and they have a deal if you buy something else at GAME you can get the lead for £6.99.

I bought an xbox mag for 1.99 and got the lead for £6.99, bargain ( normal price is £9.99 ).

I can only stress that you get your xbox modded so then you can enable HD 480p, 720p and 1080i in NTSC mode and play your movies etc.. at HD and a few games are HD!

I self modded mine and alot of others, it is well worth it!
