xbox problem can anyone tell me what is wrong?

my xbox is starting to play up as now and then when a disc is loaded I hear a load clicking sound and the big eject button starts to flash red and green. The only way to stop it is to power down then switch it on again until it works. It then works okay again.

Is this the sign that the drive is on its way out

mmm, i know the LED flashes when you disconnect the AV cable from the back of the console, i might not be right, but disconnect the av cable from the back of your xbox give it a blow make sure theres no dust and **** in it, and make sure its plugged in firmly, and if it still doesn't work give it a kick
