Do you mean a 2 pin plug? All Xbox's have 2 pin sockets plugs at the console end. If the plug itself is 2 pin then you have probably got yourself an American Xbox, in which case you would need a voltage convertor to step down to 110v.

    thanks for reply -

the two pin is at power end - ie plugs into mains.

i'm sure xbox is for europe / uk use - the power sticker on back of xbox says "220v-240v - 1.2A" 50hz.

    help !!!

If the XBox does say 220v-240 as you describe, then its probably come from a European source.

If you have any other consoles then just use the power cable from them for the moment. I tend to swap the mains cable between my PS/2 , XBox and Dreamcast depending upon what i'm playing.

As long as the sticker underneath the xBox says it will run on UK voltage (220-240 volts) then all you need is another lead. I believe the standard lead for cd/radio/cassette players should fit which is available here Maplin Electronics
You may also be able to find it at a local electrical shop although a quick search of the Dixons web site turned up no leads (no pun intended) :) .
Maybe they have it instore or you could try Woolworths or Robert Dyas.

Or if you want the cheap option, just cut off the plug and replace it with a UK 3 pin if you have one spare.

 Forgot about that option. It is the cheapest though even if you have to buy a new plug it will still work out cheaper than a new lead provided you can wire a plug of course. :)
