I see the Xbox outsold the GC in Japan during Feb.
Something to do with DOA Extreme I guess. Pervs.
Got a link to the full report on this Paiger?
But last week the Gamecube was the biggest selling console in the UK, even beating the PS2, by a curious twist of fate. Metroid Prime was the number 1 selling game (no surprise there), so it looks like the price cutting really seems to work. I wonder if anyone else will follow suit.
Let's watch what happens when the GBA SP comes out. Could Nintendo be on the upswing?
Groundy, I think I read it somewhere in the April edition of the official Xbox mag. Can't seem to find it now !
I'm sure it's in there somewhere with figures and everything.
I think the burst in Gamecube sales can mostly be attributed to Argos. I heard that they were selling maybe 100 units a month, but sold 5000 on one Saturday after they dropped the price.
Magic box still has the GC at around 187,000 units sold over the year, with X-Box at 45,000. Gamecube sold 7000 units last week with Xbox at 1600. Although this pales against the PS2 which sold 77,000 units last week!
