I brought the below HDMI cable to replace the MS Xbox One S supplied 6.5' cable with a 10' cable. The cable description specs appeared correct (HDMI 2.0 capable) as a good replacement. This replacement cable does not make full contact with the Xbox One S Female pins (no signal received by TV, direct connect).
Amazon.com: JINPIN Ultra High Speed hdmi cable-BC 10ft black/blue with Braided Cord support Ethernet ,3D,4K and Audio Return (ARC): Electronics
It appears the Xbox One S HDMI Female connector receptacle requires a longer HDMI cable plug to make full pin contact (or the cable I brought is not meeting the HDMI connector dimension spec). When I aligned the MS Xbox One S supplied cable with the above replacement cable side-by-side, the Xbox HDMI cable plug was about ~1mm longer.
I thought I would have seen a Xbox One S HDMI replacement cable issued discussed, but my searches have not been fruitful.
I looking for HDMI cable 2.0 capable (10ft) suggestions, where you have tried and confirmed the extended replacement cable has worked (securely connected - travels to lock position ) in a Xbox One S.
