Just got mine, I got a poster which I have printed and put in a frame which is hanging on the back of the door in my toilet!

Can't wait to get the backgrounds....

Bit of a let down but at least we have sunset OD for 24 hours!

I hadn't seen anything about this but was hoping for something a bit more special than a poster and gamer pics, especially for those who purchased early pre-price drop as a thank you. Do MS still think their core base is a bunch of 14 year olds who care about this shit!

I don't really care about what I got (same as everyone else), but you've got to wonder by people's reactions if this kind of thing ends up backfiring from a PR perspective.

Yeah, I know what you mean. To be honest, I think that the Year One Stats thing is a great idea and they should have really just done that, as opposed to getting folks hopes up with the premise of a free gift.

Naturally it leads to some folk thinking that they may get a free game or something, but then they just get a poster and a limited access to a movie.

Doesn't bother me personally but like you say, I can see how it may backfire with some folk.

To me its a damp squib of a celebration. Its just some intern who has learnt how to use photo shop. I wasnt really expecting full retail games but a bonus Games with Gold indie would of been nice.

No, they call me and pretend to remember me, and try and sell me another one. My chippy bought a van from the same place, and the same salesman calls him each year with the same spiel:
Annoying Doug (for his name is Doug, and he's annoying): 'Hi Mark, how's the car?'
Chippy Mark (for his name is Mark, and he's a chippy): 'It's a van'
Annoying Doug: 'Well you've had it a few years now, are you thinking of replacing it soon?'

I saw the list of stuff MS were giving away, including CoD, but I can't say I'd expect to get anything like that. Just enjoy seeing the stats and stop worrying about presents. You lot are like my kids at Christmas. Well Christmas is cancelled kids, daddy's running away with Lara.

Got my second email this morning and I got the gta shark card....... Doh dont f*****g own that game for xbox one.. But well done to Xbox for doing this!!

If you aren't using it I could put it to good use for when i start my copy if you are feeling charitable of course

I didn't buy mine in the slim chance they would be gifting out freebies a year later, i'll still buy the next one at launch too, so i don't feel too hard done by not winning anything good.. of course I would have loved to have won something decent who wouldn't?
