OK, there isn't one available yet but if you're the type of gamer who is used to the precision of a mouse (or trackball), and you're finding Halo a bind without one, I was wondering if there was a way to modify the in-line release to allow a mouse to be plugged in.

You need to stick with me here as I explain. If the wiring to the POV controls on the XBOX pad could be intercepted at the in-line release it should be possible to loop out into a socket that you could plug a mouse into! If this was done in parallel you wouldn't need to disable the POV stick on the pad. Looping the wiring for the POV to the mouse ball switches and, say, button A to the left mouse button, would give you 'mouselook' and fire.

Could be that someone's already done this, or at least mapped the lead wiring to the various pad switches. If anyone has info on either I'd be grateful to know.

    Cheers
