Getting Broadband next week, and plan to share connection with Xbox and PC.

    Any recommendations for Routers.

I dont need wireless, just a good reliable, easy to setup up Router.

I have in mind the LINKSYS BEFSR41.

    Thanks for any help.

I got a belkin 4 port router and it setup with XP no problem at all, just plugged everything in turned it on, followed the instructions and away it went.

There were two paths that could be followed through the instructions though and one looked more complicated, luckily I was able to go the easy route.

    Just ordered a Linksys BEFSR41 (£50 Amazon).

Do I need to get three Cat 5 Ethernet cables ?.

Is it easy to set up ?

Anyone know of any problems ?

I have a linksys befw11s4 wireless router and it came with 1 ethernet cable. I have NTL and that was supplied with an ethernet cable and a usb cable.
The linksys ethernet cable is oly about 6 inches long, but the two cables suplied with the ntl modem are about 1 metre.

I too have the same wireless setup as colesy :thumbsup surfing in the loung on my laptop is great!

If you have nice BT chappie installing your broadband (I had a rare nice NTL chappie) get him to make up a cable for you. The NTL guy cabled me up an 8meter cable from my cable modem to the router wt the back of the room on top of my DVD shelves

any cat 5 / cat 5e cable should do but make sure yo udont get crossover cables

Had a look at that one Latman but decided to go for the Linksys WET11 Here

which I think worked out a couple of pound cheaper. It works flawlessly.
