I bought one at this price the first time round and used to top up my existing subscription.

I don't know if I screwed up when I did it, but it restarted my subscription from the day I renewed, rather than adding it on to the time I had left. I only lost a few weeks, and bearing in mind the overall saving I wasn't inclined to make a fuss to get them back.

Just something to be aware of if you've got any substantial time left on your existing subscription.

Pretty Certain you can roll your current sub onto Xbox live 2 - I'm sure it was mentioned at the GDC showings - I would guess you wouldnt be able to roll it to a USA xbox 2 So you would have to wait till xbox 2 came out over here.

I did the same as you, thought I'd lost a few weeks, but a refund (about £9) showed up on my credit card statement, so I was well chuffed :)

You could give WHSmith a try, i bought the starter kit a couple of weeks ago in my local Smiths, it was ticketed at 29.99 but when it rang through the till it came through at 19.99.
Not sure if this was an error or their new price, could be worth checking it out.

I've just installed a router today so that now I'll be able to use L!ve. I was hoping to use the 2 month free trial first, then buy the 12 month sub pack for £20. When I try to establish an account it asks me for my CC details. Now, while I assume this is a security thing, I don't want them to deduct £40 from my card once the 2 month trial is over.

1)How do I use the 2 month trial then buy the 12 pack seperately.

    2) Should I buy the 12 month pack now.

    3) Could I add the 12 month pack onto the 2 month free trial to get 14 months? or do you wait til the 2 months has expired.

Couldn't create an account anyway at the moment as there was a fault and I was told to come back later!?

    Game charge 1.50 delivery so it's actually £21.48 - but that's still a bargain!

I've seen a "FIFA 2005 Starter Kit" with 12 month subscription for £30.96....and also the Starter Kit from Game as advertised above for £21.50.

Which is the best deal? Is the FIFA 2005 game worth paying the extra tenner for? Also I'm not sure that you get everything with this Starter Kit such as the Headset, but it looks as if you do.

Reason I ask is that my mate bought this FIFA Kit from HMV and coughed up nearly £60 for it....so he's choked.

    What do you all think?

Live accounts work worldwide as far as I am aware. You can definately use a UK live account on a US xbox console in this country, I cant see why xbox 2 would be any different
