25 is fine. can anyone point me in the direction of who gets this as i am not as 100% on trading guidelines on here as t'other place.

    either way im happy

EDIT - from trading sticky -

    "Making an offer

If you want to make an offer for an item then post that you are interested, and you must post a price with this first post. If this is refused by the seller then you lose out as first party and must go to the back of the queue (if there is a cue of interested parties) and offer again. In the case of offering the asking price then the sale MUST be yours if you are first to offer, and the seller cannot accept a higher offer after the asking price has been offered. You can continue to make offers up to the asking price, if an offer below the asking price is accepted by the seller, then you cannot make a higher offer once an agreement is reached. This will prevent gazumping and an auction of items. YOU should only offer for an item when you have the funds to pay for it, and should not post something like i am interested but need to sell this or that first to raise funds, do that before making an offer.
(The seller may agree to waiting if you have offered and it has been accepted, but this should be discussed in the thread with the seller, and it doesn't affect the sellers rights to refuse) "

So does this mean 20 quid offer goes to back of queue and i accept the 25 offer from g myers? thats my understanding.

I've only had my box a week - got halo/colin McRae off ebay. PGR off these forums so I have'nt got owt to trade.

Geoggy, hopefully I haven't gazumped the previous offer if bernie wants me to withdraw my offer then I will. If hes not willing to bump his offer up then my offer still stands

its really up to bernie. If he feels he wishess to offer more then I'm willing to withdraw my offer indeference to his lower bid.

You can either accept or decline his offer, but until Bernie says hes not in the running he has the ball IMHO

    yeah?

in fairness - thats not what the trading guidelines say i have posted above is it?

    Plus i would prefer Fastpay.

Plus i was going to sell Unreal next so if someone wants both Mechassault and Unreal together - i could do em both for £52 delivered for Fastpay.

    This has got very muddy.

the way I read the sticky that Geoggy points out is that....

    1) bernie offers £20 and is rejected
    2) I offer £25 and is accepted

according to the rules bernies rejection means he doesn't have first dibs.

then there is a subsequent offer of 2 games for £52, for which I offer £50

this has yet to be accepted, but bernie also offers £50, so this seems I have the ball on this uprated offer.

If £50 is rejected then its whoever gets in first with an offer above £50. If £52 is offered then the trade is closed and that person is the owner of 2 games

looks like I've lost out on them then

    ah well:(

however the first trade in the thread should still stand shouldn't it ie mechassault for £25

geoggy was offering an additional item, it wasn't a new trade was it?

I'm  to say the least

Right - this is a nightmare, so I have to make a decision. One of you will be disappointed and I apologise for this.

I have asked for a mod to have a look at the thread, but they have yet to come back to me.

Therefore. the only fair decision i can make is to go with the Trading guidelines as posted above. These clearly state,

    "Making an offer

If you want to make an offer for an item then post that you are interested, and you must post a price with this first post. If this is refused by the seller then you lose out as first party and must go to the back of the queue (if there is a cue of interested parties) and offer again."

    Chain of events:

    bernie offerred £20.
    gmyers offerred £25.
    bernie ups offer to £25

I would have rejected £20 anyway. As per the above if you make an offer which is refused by the seller, you go to the back of the queue.

That makes bernie's £20 offer as rejected and to the back of the queue.

G.myers is therefore next in the queue and his offer was £25, which is a fair price.

I then complicated it by adding Unreal to the equation. :suicide:

However, to me the issue is about who offers in line with the trading recommendations and that i am afraid is g.myers for mechassault.

g.myers was then first to offer £50 for the two games. This again is acceptable to me.

I therefore concur (judge Geoggy!) that the sale goes to g.myers as this is in line with the trading guidelines.

For info - both games are UK PAL and in excellent condition - i look after all my stuff. Reason for sale - i have had Live for a few months now (on Test Drive) and have played both a lot, but i cannot stop playing Ghost Recon and i need a new mobile - therefore these go.

I am sorry bernie. But i have followed the trading guidelines and i cannot be fairer than that.

g.myers - Fastpay me on the same email adrress as on here and the games will be posted 1st class tommorrow. Also mail me your details. I will have to post them seperately, because a COP only covers up to £27.

If you need any refs for me - I am st_geoggy on ebay and i am on t'other place in the feedback forum.

    Cheers

    Geoggy.

    As g.Myers stated himself

If £52 is offered for the two games then it takes over the £50 he offrered

its in his post at the top of page two

Sorry you feel like that bernie.

It is however in line with trading guidelines. Which if i do not follow i will be banned.

Sorry, but i don't want to be banned.

"In the case of offering the asking price then the sale MUST be yours if you are first to offer"

You were 2nd to make an offer on the 2 games. I know you offerred the asking price, but it is my choice if i accept an offer below this.

if it was an hour after or a day i would understand... but i think they really should have been made open offers with the highest bidder winning because of the timescale we were operating on
