    Hi

I have an Xbox 360 which I use occasionally.
My daughter has expressed an interested in the Xbox and bought herself the Minecraft game to play online with her friends?

I have setup another profile / gamertag for her. Is the Xbox Live Gold membership console based or based on the gametag? Would I need to buy 2 annual subscriptions, one for me and one for my daughter?

    Cheers

Slider - you would need to buy a subscription each I'm afraid for you both to be able to use Xbox Live Gold services. The membership is tied to the individual gamertag.

Microsoft used to offer "Family" packs but stopped them in late 2013

Uuh, shocking bad move this, just happened to us today. Had my pulse off all things Microsoft having moved over to the other side. Looks like the rest of the family too.

Its actually one of the perks of xbox one now, you only need one live profile per console. It sucks that they cant bring this to the 360.
