If you connect your xbox 360 to pc via wired network and then share your dial up connection you can get onto live.
Of course i wouldn't use it for trying to play games as that is unfair on other people with broadband.
However, I can now do the 1 and only thing i wanted to do which is to be able to get the latest updates and patches.
I got both of the dashboard updates aswell as one for Call of Duty2 and 1 for DOA4. Plus i needed the ipod one.
It took less than a minute to get the ipod one while the others took about 4 minutes each.
For someone who doesn't play online but would like the latest updates, i am a happy bunny
