I've finally decided to go down the XBox live approach, but I'm well confused  with the connection required. I have a broadband set up to my PC (Tiscali) - but want a direct set up, rather than through a router.

However - my current ASDL modem only has a RJ45 input not an output (which is USB type). Can I get a cable with a USB output plug one end, and a RJ45 on the other, to connect to the xbox???? - Or will I need another modem for this purpose whichg has RJ45 inputs and outputs?

    thanks

You'll need to run ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) on your PC, and connect your Xbox to your PC by Ethernet. See if this site helps. :)
