If anyone is finding the official UK XBox controllers a bit big, it might be worth getting your hands on the official Japanese one which is smaller. I got one and prefer it for all games except Halo which is perfect on the bigger pad.

a very good alternative is the Xbox to Dual Shock convertor, allows you to use PS/PS2 pads and they're great..:)

no mate, cos dual shock has two sets of shoulder buttons whereas Xbox pad has only one. I haven;t used it with a game that needs Xbox white and black button, but I assume these are mapped to L2/R2..I'll try it tomorrow.:)

Bought one from Computer Exchange that matches the Xbox styling ( ie black lump!)
It was 20quid! Now I know I could have gotten one from Lik Sang for 10quid but shipping took it up to nearer 17quid and Computer Exchange is just round the corner.

Seems to work fine with a PS2 dual shcok ( have a PS1 version also I may try). Occasionally I'd get firing for no reason in Halo but I might just have been clipping the trigger button by accident.

Would you recommend the XBox to PS2 pad gadget? How does it feel on games like Halo?

Well I've nearly completed Halo with the Xbox pad (6 minutes to reach minimum safe distance!) and I had a quick run around using the dual shock on a 2 player game. I reckon you'd be just fine on the dual shock even the vibration work fine!
