    Hey all,
Have been following some long posts trying to crank up my chipped xbox to HD mode.
Am using the Gamester AV connections pack and I'm aware of the poor quality that can give, Have used the enigmah disc and have enable 480, 720 and 1080 in the MS dashboard, now the projector reports a resolution of 525p.
What's 525p??!! I have never seen this mentioned and explained!!

How do I crank it up to get 720p? Is 525 better than 480?

I am about to order the MS HD Pack which will improve the poor text image.

    Help much much appreciated.

    Thanks everyone,

    Noel

You can only get 720p using the MS HD interface with the Xbox set for NTSC.

I think 525p is the same as 480p as far as your PJ is concerned.

To get 720p you need a game that supports it. There are only a handful available unfortunately. Two good examples are Soul Calibur 2 (although it only runs in 4:3) and Freedom Fighters. Both look pretty stunning so it's work picking them up from a bargain bin somewhere.

If you do a search on the Console Gaming forum there is a thread which contains a link to a site which lists those games with HD support.

I haven't used XBMC myself, although I have read some threads which claim it can manage 720p
